REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Use a Reusable Water BottleWhile water bottles serve an important role in places for health and safety, we can do more to reduce the unnecessary use of them. Can you identify the barriers in making this a new habit? How can you set yourself up for success in making this a permanent change?
Emmanuel Amunga 10/17/2018 8:54 AMI believe some of the barriers that make it challenging to stop using water bottles includes the mindset that they more convenient and easy to carry. A person would rather slide a small water bottle in their bag than a rather large re-usable bottle. The reusable bottles also seem more costly on face value. Some people also trust bottled water more than say water from a tap especially with what has been happening lately (lead in pipe). But understanding where the used bottles end up (our oceans, landfill) and that it takes years and years to decompose can help change our habits. -
Emmanuel Amunga 10/17/2018 8:39 AMI changed my habits and work more with electronic files rather than printing hard copies. I have less clutter on my desk. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Compost Food WasteNew to composting? Be sure to check out the action resource links to learn tips and more about it. As you transition from throwing food away to composting, what do you notice about how much you are tossing? Do you know how your compost will be used and the benefits it has on the environment?
Emmanuel Amunga 10/17/2018 8:36 AMI noticed that I have take less waste to the curbside. It has also made me more aware about food waste and the benefit of composting to the environment.
