  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Water Fix Leaky Faucets
Fixing leaky faucets is one of the tasks that we can easily put off until later. Good job on completing this action! How will you use the momentum from completing this action to increase your water efficiency?

    Rebeca Caban 10/24/2018 12:14 PM
Verify the water saving efficiency of my shower
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Waste Reduce Single-Use Disposables
Bringing your own bags and containers to the grocery store, and even to restaurants for leftovers, are a couple of ways to reduce your waste. What single-use items (e.g. straws, coffee cups, vegetable bags, plastic bags) do you regularly use? What could be substituted instead?

    Rebeca Caban's avatar
    Rebeca Caban 10/24/2018 12:13 PM
I avoid using straws. I only use reusable coffee cups, bowls and plates at home. At work, I could choose the reusable option instead of portable containers
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Waste Advocate For More Food Packaging Options
What concerns you the most about how we are affecting the planet? Consider both local and global actions.

    Rebeca Caban's avatar
    Rebeca Caban 10/24/2018 12:12 PM
The fact that a lot of the volume that is being generated is done by industries that perhaps don't take the necessary steps to reduce their waste generation
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Waste Go Paperless
Reducing your paper mail can be such a freeing action to take -- by reducing what is coming in, you can reduce what is going into the recycling bin too. How does it make you feel? What is the next step you will take to reduce your waste?

    Rebeca Caban's avatar
    Rebeca Caban 10/24/2018 12:11 PM
I love the feeling of decluttering and being less wasteful
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Waste Find Local Recycling Depots
Our ability to recycle certain things ebbs and flows based upon many factors. Luckily there are places that accept uncommon things to recycle or dispose of in a less harmful way. What did you find when looking for places to recycle items that can't be recycled in your curbside bin?

    Rebeca Caban's avatar
    Rebeca Caban 10/24/2018 12:11 PM
I found them through google and community posts that recommend places
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Waste Recycle Everything I Can
What have you learned about what is accepted by local haulers for recycling, what you can drop off or ship to certain places, and what is not recyclable in your area? What is the most difficult part of recycling for you?

    Rebeca Caban's avatar
    Rebeca Caban 10/24/2018 12:10 PM
Practicing daily at home is probably the hardest part.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Simplicity Disconnect from Email
Notice how much time you were spending checking email away from work and make note of that. Now that you have stepped away from it and have not been checking, what changes are you noticing in your thoughts, use of time, stress and energy levels?

    Rebeca Caban's avatar
    Rebeca Caban 10/24/2018 12:09 PM
I spent the weekend and weekdays more relaxed.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Health Healthy Sleep
Consider how many hours of sleep you get now. How would you like to shift your sleep patterns? What are you finding works for you to be successful in this action?

    Rebeca Caban's avatar
    Rebeca Caban 10/24/2018 12:09 PM
Got to bed earlier has helped me get enough sleep. Reducing the amount of task in my morning routine as well.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Plant an Herb Garden
Consider the ways you can garden: a plot of land? a patio container? hanging basket? windowsill gardens? What would work best for your living situation and lifestyle?

    Rebeca Caban's avatar
    Rebeca Caban 10/24/2018 12:08 PM
Plot of land is an option seeing how I have a patio. For smaller plants, I would consider a more accessible way, such as small containers near my house.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Food Watch a Documentary about Food Sovereignty
How does food sovereignty address the complex agrarian transition to modern food systems?

    Rebeca Caban's avatar
    Rebeca Caban 10/24/2018 12:07 PM
    It localizes food systems.
