To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Waste Use a Reusable Water Bottle
While water bottles serve an important role in places for health and safety, we can do more to reduce the unnecessary use of them. Can you identify the barriers in making this a new habit? How can you set yourself up for success in making this a permanent change?

I wish there were water bottle filling stations at my school like we have in our apartment building. I wish they had them in T stations, too.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Transportation Walk Instead
Half of all trips made in the US are three miles or less; 72% of them are driven. Do you feel that this fact applies to you? If so, how might you incorporate more muscle-powered transportation in your daily life?

I walk to school every day, rain or shine. I get exercise every day this way, and it's a great time to talk with my Mommy and Daddy.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Health More Fruits and Veggies
What do you think contributes to people in North America eating more meat than any other places, and what does this say about North American values and ways of living? How can we start shifting from a meat-focused food culture to a more plant-based one?

Because protein is seen as healthy compared to carbs and fats. But that comes at a cost of health to the environment (cows especially), so it's time to look into other sources of protein and plant-based diets.
