    I enjoyed this challenge! It motivated me to cook more at home, and to try more meatless meals. I liked having all these resources, learning about all kinds of organizations, and learning new things about food sovereignty. It was encouraging to see so many people working towards the same goal of overall sustainability. I wish I could've completed MM omore challenges and worked with others in person, but I thought it was a good start.

    Reducing your paper mail can be such a freeing action to take -- by reducing what is coming in, you can reduce what is going into the recycling bin too. How does it make you feel? What is the next step you will take to reduce your waste?

    What do you think contributes to people in North America eating more meat than in other places, and what does this say about North American values and ways of living? How do we start shifting a meat-focused food culture?

    We think protein is the most important thing in a meal. We value cheap meat, that fills up rather than quality. Beginning to add little steps, like one meatless meal, by encouring people to look at the health benefits.

    How does food sovereignty address the complex agrarian transition to modern food systems?

       It brings food back to the people. Local ownership of the food system was common in the past, but in the modern age our food is controlled by fewer maga corporations. It gives power back to the people, of something that is essential to life.

    An average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Does this surprise you? Where would you rather use this money?

    It doesn't surprise me at all. Americans have a culture that encourages waste, since everything is about convinence. I'd rather use that money reinvesting in my local farmers and small businesses doing things right
