Today I did succeed by taking a 5 minute shower, but i ended up doing a lot of driving that was not necessary and could have been prevented.

The challenges are good so far. I have been doing my best to travel less in my car, but there have been a few times I went driving when I didn’t really need to but wanted to. Also, for the water, I have done a good job taking 5 minute showers with an alarm playing so I know when to hop out.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Transportation Drive Less
How has your access to various kinds of transportation throughout your life influenced your current attitudes about transportation and your transportation behavior?

For my whole life, I have not used public transportation more than once or twice. I normally get around by my personal car or with one of my family members. This has obviously influenced me to drive more because I can go wherever on my schedule and not worry about making it to the bus on time or hoping that it's not running late.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Water 5-Minute Showers
Five minute showers are an impressive step toward reducing your water footprint. What is the next step you can take?

Next, I can reduce the amount of time I have the water on when brushing my teeth so I don't waste as much water there as well.
