I would rather put this money back into savings and invest it into a savings account with a high earning interest rate.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Zero-Waste Cooking
In North America, up to 65% of food waste happens at the consumer level. Chef Steven Satterfield advocates for utilizing every part of a vegetable. How can you incorporate using an entire vegetable, including the skins, tops, and stalks during your next meal prep?

If you're using apples and peeling them, you can freeze the skins for later. Carrot tops are good for making a pesto sauce. Anything citrus you can use the peels to make marmalade or zests.

There are so many fruits and vegetables. Natural selection is a great way for farmers to  weed out crops with  bad Gene's so that future yields will be able to. withstand the environments.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Reduce Animal Products

Going back to food pyramid basics. Meats are full of fats. Consuming too much fat leads to build up of fats in the arteries and can be risk factors to strokes.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Waste Use a Reusable Water Bottle
While water bottles serve an important role in places for health and safety, we can do more to reduce the unnecessary use of them. Can you identify the barriers in making this a new habit? How can you set yourself up for success in making this a permanent change?
