REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicity Needs Vs. WantsHow is creativity necessary for practicing simplicity?
Lisa Incatasciato 10/16/2018 10:34 AMYou have to think about what you can creatively repurpose, reuse, repair or even think about if you need it at all. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicity MeditateWhat would you like to invest more time in reflecting on?
Lisa Incatasciato 10/14/2018 5:37 PMHow I can be kinder on a daily basis and tell people how much I appreciate them more often. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONNature Explore My AreaHow can spending more time outdoors enhance your sense of place?
Lisa Incatasciato 10/12/2018 10:36 AMIt can help you understand where you are in the world and how it is unique. If I only worked, shopped and spent my time indoors why would it matter where I was. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Whole Foods DietMichael Pollan states that "it is better to pay the grocer (our edit: or the farmer!) than the doctor." What are your thoughts on this?
Lisa Incatasciato 10/12/2018 10:33 AMIt totally makes sense to me. No side effects either from eating well. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth Avoid refined sugarBefore you started this challenge, did you think you were 'addicted' to sugar? How do you feel now?
Lisa Incatasciato 10/09/2018 12:37 PMAs many of you know I am 'addicted' to sugar. I have been wanting to cut back on my sugar for a long time but always fail. I hoped this 3 week challenge would give me the start I needed and being a fairly short term commitment that it would feel too overwhelming. I have failed, sometimes miserably, so far with this challenge. Now that I am not traveling I am going to really recommit myself to this goal.-
Michelle Maranowski 10/10/2018 5:53 PMGood for you, Lisa! Although, I do feel your pain. The first couple of days of my "no processed sugar" diet were tough. I craved it like crazy. A few weeks in and my cravings have lessened and I feel a bit blechy if I indulge in sweet treats.
