REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Watch a Documentary about Food SovereigntyHow does food sovereignty address the complex agrarian transition to modern food systems?
paris jackson 10/17/2018 12:04 PMno clue how to answer this questions, ask a less complex questions-
Marianne Greco 10/17/2018 12:40 PMYes, that question seems kind of abtruse as stated. I think we should simply look at Food Sovereignty principles one at a time and ask, "how do we get there from here?”Food Sovereignty Principles1. Food is a basic human right.2. Agrarian reform is necessary to make land available to people.3. People have the right to practice sustainable management of natural resources.4. Reorganize food trade to ensure import of food does not depress local production or increase prices.5 End globalization of hunger by enforcing a code of conduct for transnational corporations.6. Food must not be used as a weapon.7. Small farmers must have direct input into formation of agricultural policy at all levels.

REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Reduce Animal ProductsWhat do you think contributes to people in North America eating more meat than in other places, and what does this say about North American values and ways of living? How do we start shifting a meat-focused food culture?
paris jackson 10/17/2018 12:01 PMI as an American tend to think America is the best country and the most dominate. I think that contributes to me eating meat, even though I know when i reduce the amount i eat, I feel better, and look better.
I think the more celebrities that publicly eat less meat, the more Americans will do it.
