Waste

Reduce Single-Use Disposables

Historically, marginalized and low-income communities live closer to landfills, contributing to a multitude of health problems. I will find out how I can limit single-use items and do my best to limit the waste I generate.

I have been eating so many greens lately that I think it's finally starting to affect me in a positive way.....I've actually cut my portions when I do eat now and hoping that the outcome is gonna be positive with a little weight loss.

    Food Reduce Animal Products
What do you think contributes to people in North America eating more meat than in other places, and what does this say about North American values and ways of living? How do we start shifting a meat-focused food culture?

I think the availability and the fact that people in North America are accustomed to eating meat has a factor in why we eat so much meat.  I'm guilty too because I love my meat.  I would prefer being a carnivore to being a vegan myself. Vegetables are good but meat is so much more filling and yummy to me.

I always have my own bags with me for shopping so I don't need plastic bags.  When I lived on Maui, they outlawed plastic bags there so I bought lots of woven bags.
