Say No to Plastic Straws

An estimated 71% of seabirds and 30% of turtles have been found with plastics in their stomachs. When they ingest plastic, marine life has a 50% mortality rate. By asking for no straw when placing a drink order, I will keep 4 plastic straw(s) of out of the ocean each day.

Plastic straws, plastic lids, plastic silverware, item packaging. My girlfriends mom bought me a metal reusable straw which I now use instead (I also reuse any plastic ones I get), I've also been reusing plastic silverware, item packaging is hard to avoid because it is not in my hands waht the companies use or not.

School and how to better myself academically. I focus a lot on spiritual stuff but I think it would be beneficial to my grades to start focusing on my school work too.

I've been avoiding plastic straws and plastic lids for cups and also reusing plastic silverware whenever I eat or drink anything. It was quite the change at first but I'm definitely getting used to it and making a habit. Sometimes there are times where I really wish I had a lid for my drinks but I guess it's worth it considering the impact plastic has on the oceans.
