For members that are in Connecticut, I have a map of farms in Granby. It might help if you took up the challenge to visit a local farm. If you are interested in seeing it, please let me know. I am familiar with a few of them. I am also interested in seeing others in the aria (e.g from Simsbury, Avon, Bloomfield etc)

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Meet My Local Farmers
When you know who produces your food, you are connecting personally to your complex regional food system. What are the advantages of knowing who produces your food and where it comes from? Do you think this might enable someone to advocate for a better quality of life for those who produce their food, both near and far?

I love visiting farms and seeing the conditions they offer. To some I return, being happy to support them with my purchases, others I would rather see closed. This is the best way of knowing where your food is coming from.
