This year I've struggled to get all my challenges done every day, but I have done some of them everyday! Considering how hard my daily life feels right now I am grateful to be working on these practices (and mostly doing them) and also holding myself in gentleness and not allowing my perfectionist tendencies to derail me from imperfectly completing more than I could do perfectly right now. Love to you all!

Compostability of "natural" EcoDent floss? What is it made of really? Anyone have insights? For now it's going in my trash bag. This challenge has also made me think about having compost in the bathroom: for my hair (from brush and shower) and snotty tissues! As it is now, they generally get thrown away unless I'm heading outside and then I throw my hair for birds nests...or so I like to imagine :)

I recently bought some EcoDent floss too... (unfortunately, I do not like it at all! Though the paperboard box is nice)
The floss is made of nylon, says the product page: https://www.eco-dent.com/gentlefloss.html

Carrying around my trash in a clear plastic bag (that arrived around clothes I got through the mail) has already led to my trash being reduced. Apparently Brattleboro has incredible composting and composts waxed milk/juice cartons. These are no longer recycled in many localities I know of due to the wax. While sick I bought some orange juice and a lovely fellow student offered to take the carton back to Brattleboro to compost, cheers!

Well, my separate challenges have already been self-supporting. I just looked to see if the cookies I have are vegan. They are not. I was feeling a little temped to cheat but reading the ingredients reminded me I'm also not supposed to be eating sugar! Ahh! Good catch self. No double cheating for me.
