REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth More Fruits and VeggiesWhat do you think contributes to people in North America eating more meat than any other places, and what does this say about North American values and ways of living? How can we start shifting from a meat-focused food culture to a more plant-based one?
Ngozi Lawanson 10/04/2018 7:53 AMI think a lot of North American families come from backgrounds where eating meat was a luxury. Also, meat is really seen as the best source of protein for people here. I think a shift in perception about protein could help in creating a more plant-based diet. REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth Exercise DailyHow can you incorporate other personal values (like quality time with friends or spending time in nature) into your exercise routine?
Ngozi Lawanson 10/04/2018 7:50 AMTaking walks or jogs outside help me make sure I get time outside of buildings every day. I think that's important for my health. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth Avoid refined sugarBefore you started this challenge, did you think you were 'addicted' to sugar? How do you feel now?
Ngozi Lawanson 10/04/2018 7:49 AMI definitely thought I was addicted to sugar, and I'm feeling it now. I think I'm going through a bit of withdrawal. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth Healthy SleepConsider how many hours of sleep you get now. How would you like to shift your sleep patterns? What are you finding works for you to be successful in this action?
Ngozi Lawanson 10/04/2018 7:49 AMI really want to make sure I get more sleep each night. For the past couple of nights, it's worked for me to shut off all electronics after 11. It's easier to shift into a place where I can go to sleep. -
