    It's day 8 . But i'm frightfully scared. My coworkers are gone.

    An average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Does this surprise you? Where would you rather use this money?

    There's  alot of unnecessary waste that goes on, especially when food is still completely good.

    Today we at the office are collectively planning a community Pot Luck. It's going to be fantastic! but it's only limited to our section at the office about 8-10 individuals.

    I've heard of rain-water harvesting. It definitely intrigues me! But I feel that here in Arizona, the rainfall amount might not be sufficient enough? .. Surprisingly, I'm sure it is.

    Canning and pickling food is a great way to have delicious summer fruits and vegetables all year round. Just make sure to follow the canning and pickling guidelines from the USDA. What are some foods that you would like to preserve and enjoy later in the year?

    Sometimes meal prepping  can feel like   a laborious chore but reflecting back on the process, I now feel like it was definitely time-saving and also allowed me to stay healthy!

      I'm starting this "story" to reflect upon my journey of ecological affect on the world.  I want to reduce my footprint in terms of environmental impact on the Earth. I also want to eat healthier by eliminating processed foods and artificial flavorings! But chips taste so good... Lol. :P
