GRACE's actions
Energy
Power Down the Computer
I will power down my computer and monitor when not using it for more than 2 hours, saving up to (1.1) lbs of CO2 each day that I do this.
Waste
Use a Reusable Water Bottle
I will keep 3 disposable plastic bottle(s) from entering the waste stream by using a reusable water bottle.
Energy
Turn it off
I will keep lights, electronics, and appliances turned off when not using them.
Waste
Use a Reusable Mug
I will avoid sending 3 disposable cup(s) to the landfill each day by using a reusable mug.
Waste
Skip the Straw
Plastic bags and small plastic pieces like straws are most likely to get swept into our waterways. I will keep 4 plastic straw(s) out of the landfill and ocean each day by refusing straws or using my own glass/metal straw.

REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Use a Reusable Water BottleWhile water bottles serve an important role in places for health and safety, we can do more to reduce the unnecessary use of them. Can you identify the barriers in making this a new habit? How can you set yourself up for success in making this a permanent change?
GRACE LIVINGSTON 10/17/2018 6:08 AMthe barrier for making reusable water bottles more popular is convineance. People like being able to jus throw something away after using it but if we keep promoting the use of reuable bottles and the helthy affects it will have the environoment I think more people will make the switch.-

REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Skip the StrawHow could you incorporate other "R's" -- reduce, reuse, refuse, repair, repurpose, etc. -- into your lifestyle?
GRACE LIVINGSTON 10/17/2018 6:06 AMI could incorporate the R's into my life by using reusable things such as cups, bottles and mugs. I can refuse things like straws or unneccesary plastic wrappings. I can repurpose by finding a different use for things after they have served their original purpose to avoid sending it to the landfill. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONEnergy Power Down the ComputerWhat are other easy things you could do to save energy and reduce your environmental footprint?
GRACE LIVINGSTON 10/17/2018 6:04 AMTo save energy we could take shorter showers, limit the electricity we use each day and also bike or walk to destinations instead of driving
