    Hi Teammates! 
     
    Thank you for joining the HP Taiwan for the 2018 NWEI EcoChallenge! This year, our site will be facing off against teams from 26 other HP sites around the world to see who can have the biggest positive impact on their health, community, and planet! Also, the winning team will receive HP sustainability prizes! 
     
    As a reminder, the EcoChallenge begins October 3rd!!! Here are some general guidelines on ways you can earn points for your team: 
     
    1. Your Personal Actions 
         a. Go to https://2018.ecochallenge.org and login: 
              i.Click on “Dashboard” at the top of the page to see your personal dashboard where you can see the actions you’ve challenged yourself with and track your achievements.  
              ii.To choose or change your actions/challenges, on the left side of the page click “Edit Actions”. This will take you to the different challenge categories: Waste, Food, Health, Transportation, Energy, Community, Nature, Water, Simplicity, and Create Your Own.  
         b. You can earn points for completing and tracking the challenges you’ve selected. We recommend selecting a few (1-5) daily and one-time challenges. (But if you are up for more, go for it!)  
              i.Daily Challenges – You challenge yourself to do these actions daily and track each day that you succeed!  For every day you track a daily action, you receive 5 points, and 10 points when you track two or more daily actions. 
              ii.One-time Challenges – These are one-time actions, such visiting a waste management facility. Some are difficult to do within the three-week time period, such as getting energy efficient windows installed, but you can choose these if you’re committing to do it within the year. These are rated either one, two, or three bars – more bars equals more points (25/50/75) but greater level of difficulty! 
         c. For actions you already do regularly or have taken before this year’s challenge, you can select “I already do/did this” and receive 1 point for each. The EcoChallenge is a time to try and explore new habits to take with you after the challenge has ended, the goal and the fun is to try new things, but at least you get some points for already being eco-awesome!  
         d. Inside every challenge card click “LEARN MORE” to find ACTION RESOURCES – helpful links and articles explaining the impact and importance of that action.  
     
    2. Your dashboard 
         a. You can receive points for customizing your personal dashboard with a profile picture, profile banner image, and mission statement. 
     
    3. Your team’s dashboard 
         a. You can access your team’s dashboard by clicking your team’s name or image on the right side of your personal dashboard. Here, you can post pictures as well as stories about your actions and progress during the challenge. Your pictures might even make the HP Sustainability Impact Report!
