  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Waste Find Local Recycling Depots
Our ability to recycle certain things ebbs and flows based upon many factors. Luckily there are places that accept uncommon things to recycle or dispose of in a less harmful way. What did you find when looking for places to recycle items that can't be recycled in your curbside bin?

Where I live is pretty good at taking most recycling products. What's included: Bottles/jars any color, plastics, paper based food and beverage boxes, metals, paper, and cardboard. This is just curbside.

I learned that there's an actual drop-off center that will recycle more including VHS tapes, CDs, clothes and shoes as well as hazardous household waste and electronics.

Also learned that I can throw light kitchen wise in with my yard waste. Guess that's like composting! Interesting.

    Nature Enjoy the Sunrise/Sunset
Father Thomas Berry says, "...our primary purpose is celebration. Celebration of the dawn and the sunset and the different seasons of the year is a religious ritual, a way in which humans can establish their integral relationship with the universe, with the planet Earth." Respond to Berry's assertion.

Sunrises and sunsets are my favorite times of the day, much like in this quote, to give thanks and get ready for the day. Particularly, if there's a fantastic sunset or sunrise. It's been so cloudy so it's hard to do, but changes in light can indicate this thought process as well.
