Use a Reusable Mug
I will avoid sending 1 disposable cup(s) to the landfill each day by using a reusable mug.
Community
Connect with a Nonprofit
I will connect with a local nonprofit, environmental or otherwise, and find out how I can get involved or become a member.
Health
Exercise Daily
Exercise is a great stress blaster! I will exercise for 30 minute(s) each day.
Transportation
Try Carpooling
I will commute by carpool 14 mile(s) each day and avoid sending up to 6.46 lbs of CO2 into Earth's atmosphere.
Waste
Choose Two-Sided Printing
I will save up to .21 lbs (.09 kg) of paper each day by switching from one-sided printing to two-sided.
Nature
Go for a Daily Walk
I will take a 15-minute walk outside each day.

REFLECTION QUESTIONCommunity Connect with a NonprofitWhat inspires you to act toward a more sustainable community?
Christine McBain 10/23/2018 8:36 AMStudents are always my inspiration to act towards a more sustainable community! They work so hard and are under so much stress. Any way I can support them makes me happy! -
Christine McBain 10/23/2018 8:34 AMOur office is working on collecting food, toiletries, and monetary donations for URSU Cares Pantry. The fastest growing population of Food Bank users are Post-Secondary students, yet the Regina Food Bank is not able to stock the URSU Pantry due to their own stock becoming limited. There are blue drop-off bins around campus, or donations can be made at the URSU desk in the Riddell Centre. My challenge is donate five items to a local non-profit, and I have chosen to give to the URSU Pantry. Our office is donating our "jean" funds, too, which is over $100! Yay! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONNature Go for a Daily WalkHow do you experience your neighborhood or city differently when walking instead of driving?
Christine McBain 10/16/2018 3:31 PMI work by a beautiful lake that is literally steps away from campus. When I walk through certain parts I can't even see any buildings and it feels like all of a sudden I'm not in the middle of an urban centre. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth Exercise DailyHow can you incorporate other personal values (like quality time with friends or spending time in nature) into your exercise routine?
Christine McBain 10/16/2018 3:27 PMI went for a workout with a friend this weekend and it was fun! We visited while we shed a few pounds! -
