Erin's actions
Health
Learn About Local Environmental Justice Concerns
I will spend 120 minutes researching environmental justice concerns in my region, their causes, and local initiatives to address these concerns.
Nature
Do Nature Activities
I will engage in nature-based activities alone, or with my friends or family, for 10 minute(s) each day. (This can be anything from going on a walk or hike, to noticing the leaves changing color, to reading a book with nature themes.)
Food
Reduce Animal Products
I will enjoy 5 meatless meal(s) and/or 1.5 vegan meal(s) each day this week.
Simplicity
Meditate
I will meditate or create a moment of silence for 20 minute(s) each day to reflect on things important to me.
Participant Feed
Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.
To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

Erin McNichol 10/22/2018 8:12 AMI see a definite change in my mood when I get into nature and go for even a quick walk. I find myself now not feeling guilty about that time spent away from work because it's good for my physical and mental health and I think makes me more productive.-
Saila Balasubramanian 10/23/2018 1:39 PMI think that's a great habit we should all get into - my goal is to do the same thing and actually convince myself to leave my phone at home :)
