Pennsylvania has mercury contamination issues with a variety of freshwater fish. In addition, there are advisories for lots of other marine fish species for PCB and other toxin issues. Mercury contamination is due to coal fired power plants. Reducing the number of coal fired power plants will reduce mercury contamination in fish throughout the world.
