    Waste Personal Waste Audit
Why is it so difficult to understand the impacts our purchases and waste have on other people, animals, and places? How might your experience with this challenge impact your future consumption and choices?

It's so difficult to understand the impact because we send our problems away! Out of sight, out of mind. I feel strongly that I would like to make the most minimal impact I can.

Practicing gratitude everyday by the practice of writing it down helps motivate me to look for things to be grateful for! It helps me focus more on the positive.

    Food Weekly Meal Planning
An average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Does this surprise you? Where would you rather use this money?

This doesn't surprise me at all! I read an article that said more Americans are shunning leftovers than ever before. I'm really making a point to create a meal plan, stick with it (so difficult sometimes!), and then complete the cycle by eating the leftovers.
    I'd use the $1,500 to travel. :)
