    Energy Choose Clean/Renewable Energy
How might you be able to get others involved in advocating for the shift to clean energy?

80% of the people are unaware of the concept and long term benefits of clean energy. The scale of damage is not visible to them, hence they involve in directly or indirectly polluting the environment. The best way is to lead by example and make people aware of the importance of using clean energy. Once they learn the benefits and realize that it's more beneficial for the future generations, they will adopt it. Clean energy is less efficient and more costly than traditional energy. We need to demonstrate that in long run, the benefits from clean energy outweighs the cost impact.

I would differ to one point, clean energy is very very efficient, but yes it is also expensive.
NCSEA defines clean energy as energy derived from renewable, zero-emissions sources (“renewables”), as well as energy saved through energy efficiency (“EE”) measures. ... Put simply: A clean energy economy powered by both renewables and energy efficiency is the most sustainable energy planning scenario available.

What concerns you the most about how we are affecting the planet? Consider both local and global actions.

According to me "Deforestation" is the biggest threat to our planet today. Bangalore ( the place where I live) was once known as the "Garden City Of India" , it now hardly has any gardens left. Urban dwellers are driving massive deforestation to satisfy their never ending hunger to build more and more houses.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Waste Use a Reusable Mug
Maybe you've heard how good it is to switch from a single use coffee cup to a reuseable one but it's just hard to make the switch. Think about what stands in your way of making this a habit. By identifying the challenges, you can begin to work through them to have better success in taking this action. Knowing the difference you are making, how does it make you feel?

I use a reusable mug in office but I have seen many employees hesitant to move from a single use coffee cup to a reuseable one as they feel it is easy to throw away a used coffee cup rather than spending time in washing their reusable mug in office.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Waste Use Reusable Bags
What do you do if you find yourself in the situation of needing a bag for items but don't have a reuseable one with you? Carry things out in your hands? In a cart? Accept a disposable one? If you find yourself in this position often, what system could you put in place to try to establish this a successful habit?

I will carry things in my hand if i am not carrying a reuseable bag. But normally i do have a reuseable bag in my purse.

    Waste Skip the Straw
How could you incorporate other "R's" -- reduce, reuse, refuse, repair, repurpose, etc. -- into your lifestyle?

I have installed the daily dump's kitchen waste composter at home . It's a great and easy way to get rid of the daily waste in an environment-friendly way. No more contribution to the mounting piles of garbage from me anymore. I feel the best way for an individual to help the waste issue in their city is to start managing it at home. If everyone converts even 50℅ of the daily waste, we will be looking at a clean city in no time. So I reuse my waste in a fruitful way as I have a home garden to use the compost generated.
