Made Courgette Chocolate brownie cakes.  No refined sugar

will cut into around 30 pieces and placed in the freezer.  Will be used for evening snacks instead of the plastic wrapped chocolate mini rolls.

Finished shopping at the Stroud Farmers market and the plastic free shop called Loose.

The plastic bags you can see in are freezer bags which have lived in the shopping bag for months and get used to hold the fruit and veg.

Own containers for the pasts and the rapeseed oil.

Been researching Green Party policy today.  Seriously thinking about switching my vote to them.  Not just as a protest vote, but a a permanent switch to a political approach that puts sustainability at the heart of things

Here's a health, money and waste tip rolled into one ....

If you buy a commercial cereal, then switch over to porridge.  First it's more delicious, second it contains no added sugar, third it is ridiculously cheap and fourth, it comes loose in a cardboard box.  No plastic packaging.

You can make it the traditional way, or roast with nuts and berries to make granola

    Waste Recycle Everything I Can
What have you learned about what is accepted by local haulers for recycling, what you can drop off or ship to certain places, and what is not recyclable in your area? What is the most difficult part of recycling for you?

The different types of plastic that can and can't be recycled is a huge problem.  We need to have a consistent standard.

Agreed. The amount and types of plastic we can recycle where I live is pitiful compared to some other areas

There's no tech on the horizon that can do this little intricate job.  The only game in town is the same one as for the last 1 million years

Switching off all standby equipment in the living room is easy and can all be flicked on again with with just one switch as they are on an extension cable.  Didn't flick it back on until 9pm tonight - nearly 24hours not on standby
