Thank you for another fun year of Ecochallenge. I find that the thoughts and habits that occur during this challenge overflow into the rest of my year.  Can you add a civic involvement section next year? Thank you again!

Thank you for the informative lunch time event about how to weatherize my house. I look forward to taking a workshop with the Community Energy Project. What a fantastic group!
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Waste Use Reusable Bags
What do you do if you find yourself in the situation of needing a bag for items but don't have a reuseable one with you? Carry things out in your hands? In a cart? Accept a disposable one? If you find yourself in this position often, what system could you put in place to try to establish this a successful habit?

I just read an article that Trader Joes's has sets of beeswax cotton wraps! I have been using beeswax wraps for 6 months and love them. They are great for wrapping cheese, sandwiches, fruit, the tops of bowls with leftovers. Highly recommend this plastic wrap alternative!

What do you think contributes to people in North America eating more meat than in other places, and what does this say about North American values and ways of living? How do we start shifting a meat-focused food culture?

The summers are longer and drier... time to be wise about water usage and plant sturdy, drought tolerant and fire resistant vegetation.
