Judy's actions
Health
Eliminate Toxic Plastics
I will avoid buying toxic plastics - including polycarbonate, polystyrene and polyvinyl - and instead replace them with bioplastic or durable options.
Energy
Turn it off
I will keep lights, electronics, and appliances turned off when not using them.
Nature
Practice Gratitude for Earth
I will spend 10 minute(s) each day outside, practicing gratitude (prayer, meditation, journaling, etc.) for Earth and the nature surrounding me.
Simplicity
Needs Vs. Wants
I will adopt a "Needs Vs. Wants" approach and only buy things I need.
Nature
Go for a Daily Walk
I will take a 15-minute walk outside each day.
Create Your Own Action
Buy Used
To help slow consumerism, reduce the flow of goods traveling over long distances, and ignore ads, I will stop and assess before I buy, and be sure I truly need each item. Then, I will choose USED everywhere I can: used clothes, books, household items, and even re-gift presents instead of buying new ones.
Participant Feed
Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.
To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

Judy Todd 10/16/2018 12:56 PMHonestly, with travel, work and other demands, my RECORDING of the actions is the last thing i get to. I am discovering spending the time to record and write each day only lengthens my screen time, and isn't the direction my prior commitments take me. I will bow out of the competition part of this and just enjoy it from time to time as a good reminder this month! Thanks for your good efforts and work on this.
