Waste

Reduce Single-Use Disposables

    Waste Reduce Single-Use Disposables
Bringing your own bags and containers to the grocery store, and even to restaurants for leftovers, are a couple of ways to reduce your waste. What single-use items (e.g. straws, coffee cups, vegetable bags, plastic bags) do you regularly use? What could be substituted instead?

Many water bottles come with 'hard plastic' or metal re-usable straws!! This is an awesome trend I appreciate very much.

    Health More Fruits and Veggies
What do you think contributes to people in North America eating more meat than any other places, and what does this say about North American values and ways of living? How can we start shifting from a meat-focused food culture to a more plant-based one?

I hear so many people say the 'hate vegetables'; that meat and potatoes are their thing. It saddens me a great deal because they won't even try. Fixed mindset from way back and not willing to budge.
A small shift is happening with the protein shakes/meal replacement shakes. They make getting vegetables easy for those people; but no way as good for them as eating fresh produce.

    Health Exercise Daily
How can you incorporate other personal values (like quality time with friends or spending time in nature) into your exercise routine?

I believe it's due to the massive availability in NA for starters. It's just easy for us to buy, store and not have to do anything difficult to get it.

The shift has to start with our health. NA eats more meat then most other countries and is also the unhealthiest I believe. As people try to get healthier, that will come with consuming less meat.
