What concerns me most about how we are affecting the planet is the  continued making of choices without any real thought to their consequences. The average North American needs to accept that this is no longer just about sacrificing earth's habitats and life's beautiful, diverse species. The effects of our convenience based lifestyle are now...

We have to overcome the greatest of the Four R's - RETHINK.  How do I Reduce & Reuse, so there is no need for Recycle?

A community's accesss to nutrition food is key in overall healthy development and productivity. The need is great, surprisingly in urban pockets of large cities. With all the food waste being created, from farm to market, market to consumer, and alot in our own homes, there is a great opportunity to reduce our waste, and redirect the excess to...

It is the last day of the eco challenge!  It was an amazing experience! I will always remember taking cold, speedy showers, drinking my Starbucks in my water bottle and going through the website everyday to look for more ways I can make a difference! I tried my best to be as environmentally friendly as possible! I hope in the next eco challenge...

The next step I could possibly take is to try to use less water everyday. For example, not letting the water run while brushing my teeth, making sure the tap is off, and etc.
  • October 16 at 2:20 PM
Barriers for making this a new habit would require me not to purchase store bought water, and instead use tap. I can set myself up for  success by making this permanent change by using a reusable water bottle it would reduce the waste of plastic, it would be more affordable, use my current water bottle (which is reusable) and etc.
