  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Energy Turn it off
How is electricity generated where you live? How does it impact the environment, animals, and humans?

Electricity is generated from solar power or from fossil fuels. It impacts the environment because it causes global warming. The blanket it causes over the Earth gives us global warming which we don't like.

I joined this challenge because I think it will make me a better and calmer person. This will help me stay calm and nice during the day and to keep myself together for my homework.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Health Healthy Sleep
Consider how many hours of sleep you get now. How would you like to shift your sleep patterns? What are you finding works for you to be successful in this action?

I would like to shift my sleep patterns by calming my breathing down before I go to bed, so I can get more sleep by falling asleep earlier. I find that putting a bit of cold water on my eyes and focusing on my breathing helps me fall asleep.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Nature Practice Gratitude for Earth
Kathleen Dean Moore says that a sense of gratitude leads to a sense of moral obligation. Do you agree? How do we cultivate a sense of gratitude as individuals, and as a society?

We cultivate a sense of moral obligation when we go outside because it shows us that we want to keep the Earth as beautiful as it is.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Waste Skip the Straw
How could you incorporate other "R's" -- reduce, reuse, refuse, repair, repurpose, etc. -- into your lifestyle?

I can incorporate these things into my life cycle because I will ask myself every time I am about to throw something out if it can be recycled or put to another reusable use.

I am  a boy from New Jersey. I see how litter keeps growing around me and I want to stop littering and promote recycling or stop using recyclable materials. We don't have another Earth so we have to take care of it by taking part in these challenges.

I want to do this challenge because i think it will help the Earth. The Earth is very important so I want to treat it very well. I can do this by starting making this simple task my habit and not polluting the Earth with plastic bottles.
