    I don't feel addicted to sugar, but I eat it when it is around. In the office, that is frequently, so it can be tough to say no.

    Less than a year ago i wore a size 24 dress for my son's wedding...not something I'm proud of.  Yesterday I tried on a pair of size 12 black slacks at a store...too baggy.  My daughter's wedding is in one year....I'm actually looking forward to dress shopping this time.

    What concerns me most about how people are affecting the planet is that we don't see a direct response from our actions to rising carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Similarly, the we don't travel with the waste that collects in the oceans, so it is too distant to understand.

    It surprises me how many pounds of food people throw out. I'm fortunate enough to live close to a food coop and can walk over whenever I need to get ingredients. I don't have to stock up and get more than I need. I would rather use the money spent on spoiled food on my retirement.

    I got through 9 products in about 20 minutes. I was able to find all of them (or at least their ingredients on EWG's website. I was surprised that Simple Green's Concentrated All Purpose Cleaner got an F because it has a "Non-Toxic & Biodegradable Formula."     Had to take advantage of the beautiful weather...walked/ran 6.3 miles tonight. Finished the first 5K portion of it in 42:22...personal record. By next summer hope to enter more of them.

    Poverty and homelessness is a problem in our area.  Both obviously affect human health.  We need more education for younger people in order to overcome either issue.

    I think it is important to find something to celebrate every day.  Celebrating nature's beauty is one of the ways to do this.

    I love being outdoors.  It recharges me.  I think spending too much time inside leaves you unaware of the impact you have on our surroundings.
