    Final day! Not only did I eat pretty healthy these past few weeks, but I became much more aware of how much waste I produce, how many straws I can turn down and how I need to keep up on my meditation!

    Canning and pickling food is a great way to have delicious summer fruits and vegetables all year round. Just make sure to follow the canning and pickling guidelines from the USDA. What are some foods that you would like to preserve and enjoy later in the year?

    Well thanks to Jenna I've been educated on all things canning and pickling! Our garden has an abundance of peppers so we pickled those and look forward to enjoying all year.

    We brought food in Friday night, the packaging was almost all of our waste for the entire week. The audit really has me thinking about cooking from home more!

    I know I’m desensitized to the amount of waste I’m actually responsible for. Im collecting my trash through the weekend and am already surprised by how much there is. I already compost but food packaging really adds up.

    Rediscovering meditation during this challenge has helped. Also I’m an animal lover so when the world gets overwhelming i spend some time with my dogs and it tends to put things into perspective. I have some goofy labs so it’s hard to not be happy around them!

    My ND suggested a Boston Heart panel which gives even more info than just the 4 core metrics. Lots of info, super interesting but VERY expensive. Luckily it was covered by insurance.

    I try to have one weekend day with nothing planned. On weeks that i travel it’s so helpful to get extra sleep, relax and enjoy time with loved ones for that one day.
