REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Carry my TrashWhat one thing could you do right away to reduce your waste?
Murtadha Aldallal 10/24/2018 8:57 AMHave the thought cross your mind periodically during the day, it makes a huge difference thinking about where each item you toss will end up -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Go PaperlessReducing your paper mail can be such a freeing action to take -- by reducing what is coming in, you can reduce what is going into the recycling bin too. How does it make you feel? What is the next step you will take to reduce your waste?
Murtadha Aldallal 10/24/2018 8:55 AMI find reducing what I recycle to be difficult but I know it is more than possible, it is unfortunate that most of what I buy other than raw fruits or vegetables (disregarding the tiny plastic bags that are forced on the consumer that forgets their own reusable bag) come in plastic containers. Reducing paper waste is easier since most of my transactions are done electronically now regardless, I will continue minimizing my physical mail. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Reduce Animal ProductsWhat do you think contributes to people in North America eating more meat than in other places, and what does this say about North American values and ways of living? How do we start shifting a meat-focused food culture?
Murtadha Aldallal 10/22/2018 7:13 AMI have noticed that meat is currently an easier option, especially with how readily available it is at supermarkets and how filling it can be in small quantities. It is also likely the expectation of having meat on a dinner plate that drives up the consumption.
