REFLECTION QUESTIONWater Fix Leaky FaucetsFixing leaky faucets is one of the tasks that we can easily put off until later. Good job on completing this action! How will you use the momentum from completing this action to increase your water efficiency?
Rebeckah Aseltine-Kuffer 10/15/2018 6:14 AMI will be more vigilant in making sure that water is turned off while people are brushing their teeth and that showers are timed and the time is adhered too. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Use a Reusable MugMaybe you've heard how good it is to switch from a single use coffee cup to a reuseable one but it's just hard to make the switch. Think about what stands in your way of making this a habit. By identifying the challenges, you can begin to work through them to have better success in taking this action. Knowing the difference you are making, how does it make you feel?
Rebeckah Aseltine-Kuffer 10/15/2018 6:12 AMI feel good using my own mug, I feel the design of my mug is expressive and shows a little more of who I am as a person. That is better than a one use mug any day. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicity Have a Garage SaleBuilding community is good for your soul and fun to do! What were some of the positive outcomes that came out of your group garage sale?
Rebeckah Aseltine-Kuffer 10/15/2018 6:10 AMGetting to know a few of my neighbors and starting a build a relationship with them making my feel even more comfortable in my community. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONNature Forage for My FoodAmongst the motivations for foraging are: a source of food; means of income; connecting with nature; cultural tradition; or transmitting "local ecological knowledge, and a means for stewarding local and native plant populations" (McLain et al. 2012, 13). Which of these would be your chief motivation and why?
Rebeckah Aseltine-Kuffer 10/15/2018 6:09 AMI think my main motivation would be just connecting with nature. I love getting into nature and just being at peace with myself and the world around me. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONEnergy Upgrade My WindowsHow does improving your home's energy efficiency help you better live out your values?
Rebeckah Aseltine-Kuffer 10/15/2018 6:08 AMUpgrading our windows has decreased our gas bill so that I can save more money to be able to do more family oriented plans wither it be a quick weekend camping trip or a longer vacation or just a day trip together. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Try a New Way to PrepCanning and pickling food is a great way to have delicious summer fruits and vegetables all year round. REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Weekly Meal PlanningAn average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Does this surprise you? Where would you rather use this money?
Rebeckah Aseltine-Kuffer 10/04/2018 7:04 AMNo, it doesn't surpise me. I would rather use that money in a savings account, for a vacation, or to put towards a new vehicle. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Use a Reusable Water BottleWhile water bottles serve an important role in places for health and safety, we can do more to reduce the unnecessary use of them. Can you identify the barriers in making this a new habit? How can you set yourself up for success in making this a permanent change?
Rebeckah Aseltine-Kuffer 10/01/2018 8:56 AMMake sure that I use my reusable water bottle daily and wash it every night so that I can keep using it. Make sure that it is put in a place that I won't forget it, like with my lunch box every night after I clean it. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicity De-Clutter My HomeHow can you prevent yourself from accumulating more things in the future?
Rebeckah Aseltine-Kuffer 10/01/2018 8:54 AMDetermine if what I am buying is a need or a want, if it is not a need don't buy it. -
