I think there are many simple things I can do. Turning off lights when I leave a room and reminding my kids to do the same. Skipping an hour of tv or computer time to go outside for a walk.

What do you do if you find yourself in the situation of needing a bag for items but don't have a reuseable one with you? Carry things out in your hands? In a cart? Accept a disposable one? If you find yourself in this position often, what system could you put in place to try to establish this a successful habit?

I have carried things out in my arms LOTS of times. I have the reusable bags but always seem to forget them. I will store them closer to the front door and maybe post a little reminder for myself on the fridge!

Nature provides a QUIET place. Noise pollution is a very real thing to me. I love to listen to the uninterrupted sound of birds chirping, water rushing, and sometimes coyotes howling!

Who is most affected by environmental degration and/or environmental irresponsiblity in your community? How are they affected?

I learned that there are orders in place to eliminate the Clean Water Act protections which protect over 2 million miles of America's streams. 61,200 miles of them are in Oregon. This is bad news for both us and wildlife. It means more pollution can be dumped into our rivers, streams, and lakes.
