I think it's worth noting that though we are behind West Linn in points, our per person average is higher! Great Job! -
Adam Brensen 10/12/2018 9:29 AMI read an article on sustainable farming practices this week and how to revive farmland. -
Adam Brensen 10/10/2018 12:12 PMIf we bring our point average per person up to 136 points, then we will just pull ahead of West Linn! So, even though they currently have 10 more people than us on the team, it is definitely possible to pull ahead at this point without too much extra effort! -
Adam Brensen 10/09/2018 7:55 AMIt's going well! It's been easier to participate than I thought. Especially, with doing most everything from my phone. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth Go get a check upHow do you practice self care?
-
Adam Brensen 10/09/2018 7:52 AMI was in California this day on a walk watching the sunset and unexpectedly saw the SpaceX launch later on that night. It was incredible!-
Monica Martin 10/09/2018 7:55 AMWow. That's and amazing unexpected bonus.

REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Plant an Herb GardenConsider the ways you can garden: a plot of land? a patio container? hanging basket? windowsill gardens? What would work best for your living situation and lifestyle?
Adam Brensen 10/04/2018 1:05 PMI have the best luck with raised beds. Seems like I deal with less weeds and have good control of the soil and fertilizer content with a raised beer garden. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth Healthy SleepConsider how many hours of sleep you get now. How would you like to shift your sleep patterns? What are you finding works for you to be successful in this action?
Adam Brensen 10/03/2018 9:50 AMI prepare things I need for the morning before I go to bed, and throughout the previous day, so I can save time in morning. This allows me to get extra sleep each night. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth Eliminate Toxic PlasticsWhat single-use items (e.g. straws, coffee cups, vegetable bags, plastic bags) do you regularly use? What could be substituted instead?
Adam Brensen 9/28/2018 12:16 PMSometimes I forget my reusable bags and get plastic bags from the store! When I keep plenty of bags in my car I tend to remember to bring them inside with me at the store. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth Avoid refined sugarBefore you started this challenge, did you think you were 'addicted' to sugar? How do you feel now?
Adam Brensen 9/28/2018 12:14 PMSugar is very addictive! I have greatly reduced my intake of processed sugar and carbs by eating more healthy fats and proteins. It keeps blood sugar balanced and helps with feeling satiated. I have noticed I snack less too. I feel better when I don't eat processed sugar.
