    Simplicity De-Clutter My Home
How can you prevent yourself from accumulating more things in the future?

I am aware of my tendency to accumulate stuff.  I have also been slowly de-cluttering for the past few months.  I'm also trying to save for retirement.  Remembering my goals, and the time I have committed to getting ridding of excess stuff, helps me to think twice before purchasing something else that I just don't need.

I tend to be happier when I am grateful for what I do have, family, friends, a career, and good health insurance (and gerbils).

    Food Weekly Meal Planning
An average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Does this surprise you? Where would you rather use this money?

No it doesn't surprise me.  However, I'm not the average family.  I try to buy things as needed, especially perishables.  So my pantry is stocked but my fridge seems empty.  Produce is processed within a day or two of getting home, and frozen so it lasts longer.
