  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Waste Use a Reusable Water Bottle
While water bottles serve an important role in places for health and safety, we can do more to reduce the unnecessary use of them. Can you identify the barriers in making this a new habit? How can you set yourself up for success in making this a permanent change?

I think the barriers would be trying to find something that replaces water bottles. I think if you could find something that would replace a water bottle and use it all the time it would become a new habit. I think maybe doing something like making all plastic water bottles into glass bottles. Glass might be more expensive however you can melt down glass and make it into something new. I think if you really worked on drinking out of glass cups or reusable water bottle and stayed away from anything plastic it would be a permanent change. What do they say! It takes 21 days to break a habit! So make it 21 days of using now plastic and see where it puts you!

I haven't posted in a while! I've been really enjoying my walks mostly everyday!! the weather has been beautiful and perfect for all the fall colors!  I think the hardest part of this challenge so far is the meatless meals. I've been really trying to cut my meat intake such as beef and pork and am still struggling a little! However i can tell it is getting better! still a week left!

Little by little i am learning! first the five min showers i have been able to do everyday. Usable water bottle has been great i usually always forget it at home when i go out but now i have brought it with me the last few days when i go somewhere. However i am having a hard time with the vegetarian and vegan options of food i think i need to look at recipes online. I never know what to eat with those. i usually always have meat with my meals. Also going for a walk daily for ten mins i have been doing however yesterday i didn't get it done. It kinda makes you feel bad when you don't get to one of your challenges. Well today is a new day i will try again!
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Water 5-Minute Showers
Five minute showers are an impressive step toward reducing your water footprint. What is the next step you can take?

I could possible turn the water off while i shampoo my hair that way it saves even more water than if i let the water run for 5 mins.

Nature Go for a Daily Walk
How do you experience your neighborhood or city differently when walking instead of driving?

I find my neighborhood so much more beautiful! i notice each and every tree that is changing colors and the amount of wildlife i see such as birds and chipmunks. This i would never see if i was just driving in my car especially all the wildlife.

Today i took a five min shower! i timed myself and i actually took a shower in 4:30. i was pretty proud of myself. I love taking a long shower my average shower is between 15 and 20 mins so it cut that down a lot. The great thing about taking only a 5 min shower is that you have so much more time to do other things. it saves a lot of time!
