Transportation
Try Carpooling
I will commute by carpool 4 mile(s) each day and avoid sending up to 1.85 lbs of CO2 into Earth's atmosphere.
Energy
Adjust the Thermostat
I will adjust my thermostat down 2 degrees from usual when I use the heat, and up 2 degrees when I use air conditioning.
Simplicity
Needs Vs. Wants
I will adopt a "Needs Vs. Wants" approach and only buy things I need.
Water
Install a Low-Flow Showerhead
I will save up to 15 gallons (56 L) of water a day by installing a low-flow showerhead.
Nature
Enjoy the Sunrise/Sunset
I will enjoy the sunrise and/or sunset each day.
Health
Happiness
I will write down three things every day that I am grateful for, or send one email every day thanking or praising someone.
Create Your Own Action
Bamboo Toothbrush Challenge
My goal is to use bamboo toothbrushes rather than plastic. I have enough to last me all year (6).

Grace Cohen 10/24/2018 8:45 AMI bought reusable produce bags for fruits and vegetables. Hoping to bring them on my next grocery shopping trip. I've continued to adjust my thermostat on the way out each morning. -
Grace Cohen 10/17/2018 7:10 AMI carpooled home with a work friend yesterday evening. It not only spared the environment 1 pound of CO2, but it was fun having a buddy to ride with :) -
Grace Cohen 10/17/2018 7:02 AMMaking sure to adjust my thermostat before leaving for work. I'm trying to be more aware of the resources I use. I'm looking for a new shower head that will use less water. -
Grace Cohen 10/09/2018 7:49 AMI'm trying to be more aware of what they call "fast fashion" on here. My goal is to go thrift shopping instead of going to the mall and buying new clothes. Reduce and reuse! Any second hand clothing stores in STL you'd recommend? -
Grace Cohen 10/03/2018 3:22 PMI'm continuing to recycle as much as I can. I'm a little confused still on what can and cannot be recycled. My goal for the next few days is to become more familiar with recycling rules. I did learn that a product cannot be contaminated by food particles, when it goes in the recycling bin. One cool thing I found out was pizza boxes can be recycled only if there are minimal grease stains. The stain must take up less area than the palm of your hand. Good to know!
