Patricia Collins 10/17/2018 8:56 AMToday, I came to work with two orange bandannas, to be used as handkerchiefs. It's interesting how this practice has fallen out of favor. When I frequented antique stores as a teenager, there were always tons of antique ladies handkerchiefs for sale. I think our over-emphasis on germ-free environments has caused the extinction of the handkerchief. I'd be interested to see if they are terrible germ bombs that should go extinct, and if tissues are really better. (And would these studies have been funded by the tissue industry?) -
Patricia Collins 10/16/2018 12:42 PMCarrying my trash today involves used tissues. I have a cold. Tomorrow I will bring a handkerchief. -
