REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Reduce Animal ProductsWhat do you think contributes to people in North America eating more meat than in other places, and what does this say about North American values and ways of living? How do we start shifting a meat-focused food culture?
Stephanie Cook 10/15/2018 7:59 AMI love a good burger, barbeque chicken, turkey & bacon. This category has been my toughest eco-challenge. For me, food brings me together with family & friends and meat is always at the center of the table. I wasn't raised vegetarian or vegan although I've grown to appreciate the importance of shifting from meat to more plant based diet from an environmental and healthy lifestyle perspective. It's been hard for this carnivore girl, I'll never give up meat entirely. But certainly I'll be eating more vegetarian and vegan going forward because it's good for our earth and good for me.
