Transportation
Work from Home
I will work from home 2 day(s) to avoid my commute's carbon output.

Install a Low-Flow Showerhead
I will save up to 15 gallons (56 L) of water a day by installing a low-flow showerhead.
Community
Volunteer in my Community
I will volunteer 1 hour(s) in my community during the challenge.
Waste
Use a Reusable Water Bottle
I will keep 2 disposable plastic bottle(s) from entering the waste stream by using a reusable water bottle.
Health
Support Pollution Reduction
I will spend at least 15 minutes learning about water and air quality issues in my area, how they are impacting human and environmental health, and how I can help.
Waste
Use a Reusable Mug
I will avoid sending 1 disposable cup(s) to the landfill each day by using a reusable mug.
Waste
Use Reusable Bags
I will not accept any disposable bags when making purchases.
Waste
Choose Two-Sided Printing
I will save up to .21 lbs (.09 kg) of paper each day by switching from one-sided printing to two-sided.
Waste
Skip the Straw
Plastic bags and small plastic pieces like straws are most likely to get swept into our waterways. I will keep 2 plastic straw(s) out of the landfill and ocean each day by refusing straws or using my own glass/metal straw.

REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Skip the StrawHow could you incorporate other "R's" -- reduce, reuse, refuse, repair, repurpose, etc. -- into your lifestyle?
Christopher DCruz 10/24/2018 2:32 AMDay to day we use many items that we can actually incorporate the "R" like recycle paper/plastic bags we receive from our shopping, reduce water wastage when taking bath during hot days, refuse bags from purchases instead bring our own bags, repair our stand fan/cooker/ at our local repairman instead of disposing and getting a new one, repurpose used plastic pet bottles and use them for potted plants....many more ideas can be derived from the Google. -
Christopher DCruz 10/24/2018 12:42 AMThe more you get involved the more you realize that you could have done more, only needed a little push and it moves like a bulldozer, happy to be part of this challenge, it's really inspiring, Thank you AMD GO GREEN team. -
