It aligns with my values for energy efficiency and supporting minimal impact on the environment. Plus, my new window is tinted to make it more comfortable to enjoy the sunshine even on warmer times of the day.  :-)
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Whole Foods Diet
Michael Pollan states that "it is better to pay the grocer (our edit: or the farmer!) than the doctor." What are your thoughts on this?

Absolutely true!  Food is medicine, and forms the basis for our physical well-being (in addition to our thoughts and emotional states). It provides essential building blocks, and healthy prevention is a far better use of time and resources than trying to overcome illness.

It's been a great challenge! I'm enjoying eating more veggies and whole food meals--thanks for the inspiration.

I actually explored nature while I was visiting LA, walking along the coast. This evening, I'm excited to go for a hike in Forest Park!

It's been fun and feels good to focus on eating only whole foods! While I'm at it, I'm giving up dairy and looking at decreasing sugar as well. :-)
