Sean Farmer 10/22/2018 4:38 PMHow can we become more proactive in getting all locations across state to have water bottle filling stations. I have come across the conundrum of many places not offering this. They are quick to put a vending machine in which has water bottles for sale. Increasing plastic and pocketing money, but why not spark a change? -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Personal Waste AuditWhy is it so difficult to understand the impacts our purchases and waste have on other people, animals, and places? How might your experience with this challenge impact your future consumption and choices?
Sean Farmer 10/22/2018 4:34 PMTrying this for one day was incredibly difficult. There is so much useless packaging on our everyday things used. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONNature Go for a Daily WalkHow do you experience your neighborhood or city differently when walking instead of driving?
Sean Farmer 10/22/2018 12:55 PMYes I have, when walking around my neighborhood I truly recognize how much trash there is around vs driving. -
Sean Farmer 10/22/2018 9:27 AMI have began using reusable bags more often, saving plastic when I can. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicity Limit Social MediaSocial media is a great way to keep us connected with loved ones, makes us laugh, and helps us to learn new things. It can also take more time than we realize or intend to give. After doing this action for a few days now, how do you feel? What do you notice?
Sean Farmer 10/22/2018 9:25 AMI find myself using social media when I am bored so I have attempted to refocus myself into doing more proactive things in my spare time like reading or watching the news. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Whole Foods DietMichael Pollan states that "it is better to pay the grocer (our edit: or the farmer!) than the doctor." What are your thoughts on this?
Sean Farmer 10/22/2018 9:24 AMThis statement I find incredibly important, the United States spends the most money per pupil on healthcare, so spending extra money on healthy foods is well worth it. It saves money down the road. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth Go get a check upHow do you practice self care?
Sean Farmer 10/22/2018 9:23 AMI practice self care by allotting myself time to relax each day. Wether its listening to music or taking a nap I always try to find free time to do one of these things. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicity Needs Vs. WantsHow is creativity necessary for practicing simplicity?
Sean Farmer 10/22/2018 9:21 AMCreativity is necessary because one must learn to repurpose items. Just because something is damaged or "broken" it can still be used for many other purposes. -
Sean Farmer 10/21/2018 9:32 PMJust signed up to go paperless billing, for all my bills!! -
Sean Farmer 10/19/2018 3:35 PMWent to a thrift store today found some shoes, I will be able to donate and repurpose.
