Kordell's actions
Waste
Skip the Straw
Plastic bags and small plastic pieces like straws are most likely to get swept into our waterways. I will keep 2 plastic straw(s) out of the landfill and ocean each day by refusing straws or using my own glass/metal straw.
Waste
Use a Reusable Mug
I will avoid sending 2 disposable cup(s) to the landfill each day by using a reusable mug.

Kordell Fink 10/12/2018 12:35 PMI already grabbed a straw and opened it before I realized I probably wouldn't NEED it.. -
Kordell Fink 10/11/2018 5:02 PMI drove way out east today to painted hills and didn’t get any coffee or use any straws, so still managed to keep up with my eco challenge! -
Kordell Fink 10/09/2018 5:02 PMDid shopping for work today, and got a drink with my mug again! Keeps it hotter longer anyways which is great! -
Kordell Fink 10/05/2018 11:24 PMgot coffee today, definitely needed it for working all day today. Got my coffee mug and got it filled in there, and hand washed it so that if i need it tomorrow i have it! Did use one straw today but tried to reuse it for other cups -
Kordell Fink 10/04/2018 8:33 PMI am continuing to make sure that at work I don't use straws, and I bought a Yeti coffee cup, so that when i get coffee or hot drinks in the morning which happens a lot, I use the mug instead of a cup that I throw away. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Skip the StrawHow could you incorporate other "R's" -- reduce, reuse, refuse, repair, repurpose, etc. -- into your lifestyle?
Kordell Fink 10/03/2018 11:43 PMI can try to make sure I read up on what things can be recycled and what has to be thrown away so that I know exactly what I need to do in order to be the most conservative in my actions. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Use a Reusable MugMaybe you've heard how good it is to switch from a single use coffee cup to a reuseable one but it's just hard to make the switch. Think about what stands in your way of making this a habit. By identifying the challenges, you can begin to work through them to have better success in taking this action. Knowing the difference you are making, how does it make you feel?
Kordell Fink 10/03/2018 11:43 PMSometimes in a rush you want to just be able to throw away the plastic cup and go on with your day, and the ease of not cleaning the cup makes people want to. I do like knowing that alone I am already saving a few plastic cups every day! If everyone were to do this it would go a long way!!
