REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Use Reusable BagsWhat do you do if you find yourself in the situation of needing a bag for items but don't have a reuseable one with you? Carry things out in your hands? In a cart? Accept a disposable one? If you find yourself in this position often, what system could you put in place to try to establish this a successful habit?
Nicole Flores 10/15/2018 6:39 AMWhenever I need a bag but don't have a reusable one at hand, I usually place the items I can in my handbag, and carry the ones I can't. If that is still not enough I will accept a disposable one. One way to lower the chances of this happening is to have a folded reusable bag in one of the pockets of my handbag. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWater 5-Minute ShowersFive minute showers are an impressive step toward reducing your water footprint. What is the next step you can take?
Nicole Flores 10/15/2018 6:36 AMObtaining a water tank is a good next step for the use of water in my house. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Use a Reusable Water BottleWhile water bottles serve an important role in places for health and safety, we can do more to reduce the unnecessary use of them. Can you identify the barriers in making this a new habit? How can you set yourself up for success in making this a permanent change?
Nicole Flores 10/15/2018 6:35 AMWhile water bottles do improve water quality in remote areas, they become a huge amount of waste at the end of the week. This is a difficult habit to create because unlike water bottles, which you can get just about anywhere when feeling thirsty, a reusable bottle is something easily forgotten at home or in the car. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONEnergy Choose Clean/Renewable EnergyHow might you be able to get others involved in advocating for the shift to clean energy?
Nicole Flores 10/15/2018 6:31 AMI would try to speak about the benefits of renewable energy as an individual household and the impact it has on the region.
