Ann's actions
Health
Happiness
I will write down three things every day that I am grateful for, or send one email every day thanking or praising someone.
Simplicity
Eat Mindfully
I will eat all of my meals without distractions, e.g., phone, computer, TV, or newspaper.
Waste
Visit a Waste Management Facility
I will spend at least 30 minutes visiting a local dump/transfer station, material recovery facility, and/or landfill to learn about the waste stream.
Waste
Launch a Recycling Program
I will start a recycling program at my workplace or school. If a recycling program exists, I will advocate for ways to improve and expand it.
Participant Feed
Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.
To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicity Eat MindfullyMindful eating is healthier for us than eating with distractions. How do your eating experiences differ when practicing mindfulness?
Ann Freeman 10/11/2018 6:01 PMI'm much more relaxed after my meal when I just eat without reading stuff on my phone! It's easier to end my lunch break on time, too. At home I pay more attention to other people rather than a book or screen. Much nicer! -
Ann Freeman 9/19/2018 7:37 AMGlad to see challenges promoting intentional living & an attitude of gratitude! I already have a gratitude diary, so I'm getting ready for the October challenge by writing in it more often.
