I've learned to control my calendar and not let my calendar control me. If I know I have a stressful day, I'll book time to take a walk. If I know we have a busy weekend, I won't plan anything during the week in the evenings, and/or I'll cook healthy food ahead of time. When I am intentional with my time, I'm much happier and healthier!
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Health Avoid refined sugar
Before you started this challenge, did you think you were 'addicted' to sugar? How do you feel now?

I've been working for a while now to break my sugar addiction, and used this challenge as additional motivation. When I first started, I had no idea how addicted I was, or even that sugar addiction was a thing!
I've found that I feel SO much better without it. I sleep much better and don't have crashes during the day like I used to!

Next spring I'd like to plant a rain garden and use some edible plants; we get the benefit of food, roof water is cleaned, and runoff is reduced.
