REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicity Track my PurchasesWhat have you noticed about your purchases? Where are you inclined to make shifts, if any?
Linda Gerber 10/14/2018 9:50 PMWhat I've noticed is I'm generally very frugal: shop the thrift stores, buy when something's on sale, wait at least a week (sometimes as long as a year) before buying something I think I want just to be sure it's not a flight of fancy. But I don't have any restraint when it come to buying food. I don't even look at the price tag or ask, do I need this? Do I really want this? Probably some deep psychological trauma driving that. I'll have to think about it. -
Linda Gerber 10/14/2018 9:26 PMBeen doing my challenges but feeling to busy to get on line to post them. Catching up tonight, though. And feeling good about it. -

REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicity De-Clutter My HomeHow can you prevent yourself from accumulating more things in the future?
Linda Gerber 10/09/2018 11:01 PMThe best way for me to stop buying things: first, stay busy with gardening, volunteering and spending time with those I love. Stay in busy with meditation and relaxing. That will keep me out of stores. Also, resist the black hole that is Amazon. By abiding by a rule that if I see something on line I want, I’ll should wait a week before buying. -

REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicity Go for a Daily WalkFresh air and movement are good for our entire being and can help us think more clearly and creatively. How does taking a walk each day affect yourself and/or your work?
Linda Gerber 10/09/2018 8:39 AMTrip to Goodwill today. I even got my hoarder husband to go through his closet (just kidding about the hoarding though he does tend to hang on to just about everything). With less stuff to care for, there’s more time for walks. It feels terrific to walk every day. -
Linda Gerber 10/07/2018 7:49 PMI've discovered that if I have my rain outfit ready to go, I kind of groove on going outside in the rain even if it is really cold and stormy. For me, a rain outfit includes warm wool socks, rubber boots or my waterproof shoes (depending on how rainy or muddy my walk will be), a warm down jacket, a waterproof outer jacket, a soft wool scarf if it is windy or really cold, gloves, and my wool cap with earflaps. With all this gear waiting by my backdoor, ready to go, I can wrap myself in my own personal cocoon and enjoy the out of doors regardless of the weather. I often feel rather smug having the outdoor to myself. -
