REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth Learn About Local Environmental Justice ConcernsWho is most affected by environmental degration and/or environmental irresponsiblity in your community? How are they affected?
Green Gwynn 10/24/2018 10:26 AMI'm talking to my classmates about voting No on Prop 103. This deceptive proposition would keep communities in Oregon from enacting taxes on e-cigarettes and sugary beverages--policies which have been very effective in other places in reducing the use of these addictive, dangerous products. Big Soda and Big Tobacco want you to think this is about groceries. It's not. For environmental and health justice, it's important to learn the details of these measures. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONTransportation Support Public TransportationHow do residents get involved in community decision making in your area? What stakeholders are involved in the economic aspect of planning decisions in your community?
Green Gwynn 10/19/2018 4:20 PMI emailed [email protected] and encouraged them to remove a couple of close-together downtown MAX stations to speed up travel, but keep the stop in front of the Skidmore Weekend Market to support local craftspeople and ensure foot traffic in that area. https://trimet.org/maxdowntown/
