  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Waste Advocate For More Food Packaging Options
What concerns you the most about how we are affecting the planet? Consider both local and global actions.

    Zenab Haq's avatar
    Zenab Haq 10/04/2018 6:08 AM
I am concerned that not enough people are worrying about how our actions are exponentially harming the planet for generations to come. If we love our children so much, why do we not care how we leave the planet for them.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Health Support Pollution Reduction
What environmental factors affect human health in your region, and how do they affect it?

    Zenab Haq's avatar
    Zenab Haq 10/04/2018 6:07 AM
There is a landfill near the development where my house is. Some times we can smell something nasty in the air. It gets hard to be outside without feeling like you need to throw up.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Health Audit Toxic Cleaning Products in my Home
To what extent do you believe that environmental factors contribute to your own health or issues with health?

    Zenab Haq's avatar
    Zenab Haq 10/04/2018 6:04 AM
I believe they play a part but I don't know if it is really that significant because I still need to get better at taking care of myself so I can then understand the external factors that may be contributing to my health.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Health Learn About Local Environmental Justice Concerns
Who is most affected by environmental degration and/or environmental irresponsiblity in your community? How are they affected?

    Zenab Haq's avatar
    Zenab Haq 10/04/2018 6:01 AM
Low-income people are affected by it the most because they tend to be in not nice areas that may have air and water pollution.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Health Take Control
How do environmental health, community health, and your personal health intersect?

    Zenab Haq's avatar
    Zenab Haq 10/04/2018 5:59 AM
I don't live in a bubble. Everything and everyone around me impacts me personally. That's why it's important to help make things better for everyone.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Health Learn More about Food Deserts
What are the implications of access to nutritious food for a community?

    Zenab Haq's avatar
    Zenab Haq 10/04/2018 5:55 AM
Children not getting access is something huge we should all be concerned about. Good nutrition plays an important role in the optimal growth, development, health and well-being of individuals in all stages of life. Healthy eating can reduce the risk of chronic diseases, such as heart disease, stroke, diabetes and some types of cancer.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Health Go get a check up
How do you practice self care?

    Zenab Haq's avatar
    Zenab Haq 10/04/2018 5:54 AM
    I exercise and eat right.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Health Know My health
How do you deal with the physical and emotional stress of the big problems we face? How can you help others cope?

    Zenab Haq's avatar
    Zenab Haq 10/04/2018 5:53 AM
I used to emotionally eat but now I exercise. I can help others by being an ear for them to vent out their issues. Sometimes people just want to be heard and it lightens their stress.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Energy Choose LED Bulbs
Changing lightbulbs is an excellent first step toward energy efficiency! In what other ways can you exercise your civic duty to protect the environment and reduce carbon emissions?

    Zenab Haq's avatar
    Zenab Haq 10/04/2018 5:51 AM
Shutting off lights, using more natural light when possible, changing the thermostat, and pick up my dog's poop are a few that come to mind.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Energy Switch to Cold Water
What do you plan to do with the money you save from making more energy efficient choices?

    Zenab Haq's avatar
    Zenab Haq 10/04/2018 5:50 AM
I will use the money saved to travel.
