Work at a food pantry.  I spend 8 hours a week at our local pantry and find it not only rewarding but helpful to know that so much donated food is not going to waste.

My wife and I have been conserving energy for 40 years by living in an underground home and using solar for our electrical needs.  We always try to support eco-friendly events.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Simplicity
Fresh air and movement are good for our entire being and can help us think more clearly and creatively. How does taking a walk each day affect yourself and/or your work?

I have Lyme disease and start out most days with a headache and some dizziness.  A walk helps me to be refreshed--the symptoms do not go away but I can forget them for a while.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Nature
How do you experience your neighborhood or city differently when walking instead of driving?

Hear the birds, watch the deer and commune with God.

Many of the challenges, I've already done; e.g.; underground home, solar panels, electric car--so we are a carbon neutral couple and it is tough to find other stuff to do.  I'll keep looking.
